My Role : Principal Product Manager
Duration : 3 Months
Focus : Product Strategy · UI/UX Redesign · Design Systems · Usability Testing

The Business Challenge:
Despite offering a feature-rich HR platform, CoAdvantage Quantum was constrained by an outdated user interface and confusing user flows—undermining user satisfaction and limiting scalability. With plans to grow from 105,000 to 250,000+ users, CoAdvantage needed a complete UX transformation to remain competitive in a fast-evolving HR tech landscape.
🎯 My Objective:
As Product Manager, I owned the product strategy and execution for a platform redesign supporting growth from 105K to 250K users. I defined the roadmap, prioritized features, and led cross-functional delivery to modernize UX, streamline onboarding, and reduce support call volume.
Challenges We Addressed:
- Outdated Interface: The UI lacked modern aesthetics and responsiveness.
- User Confusion: Inefficient navigation led to frustration and increased support needs.
- Scalability: The platform needed to support 2x–3x growth without breaking core workflows.
- Self-Service Gaps: Onboarding and task flows required more autonomy for end-users.
- Competitive Pressure: Newer rivals offered more polished and intuitive front-ends.

Product Approach & Execution:
I collaborated closely with executive stakeholders, engineering, design, and customer support to identify key business goals and technical constraints. Together, we mapped strategic use cases that would drive both UX improvements and growth enablement.
1. Strategic Planning & Execution Oversight
- Defined and socialized the product vision and roadmap with executives and department leads.
- Prioritized initiatives based on business impact, user value, and technical feasibility.
- Drove feature scoping, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery milestones.
2. Customer-Centric Design Leadership
- Led the product definition process with an associate designer to reimagine the user experience.
- Delivered a customizable homepage dashboard, improving daily engagement.
- Overhauled HR workflow templates, reducing onboarding time and user drop-off.
- Partnered with engineering to define and launch a scalable design system, enabling consistent UI/UX patterns.
3. User Research & Validation
- Conducted in-depth user interviews to uncover key pain points and use cases.
- Led high-fidelity prototyping and iterative usability testing with multiple user personas.
- Captured and applied feedback to continuously refine and validate key flows pre-development.
Outcomes & Business Impact:
The successful redesign not only enhances the user experience but also strengthens CoAdvantage's competitive position in the HR software market, making it an attractive solution for a larger and more diverse customer base.
Cross-functional collaboration, scalable design systems, and customer-driven insights were key to delivering a future-ready product redesign.
- Reduced Support Volume: Streamlined workflows and clearer interfaces expected to significantly reduce support calls.
- Growth-Ready Architecture: Design system and modular UX enable seamless scaling to 250K+ users.
- Improved Onboarding & Task Completion: Reworked flows improved usability and reduced friction across common HR tasks.
- Competitive Advantage: Redesigned product strengthens CoAdvantage’s positioning in the HR tech market.
